Be Afraid and Do It Anyway
Be afraid and do it anyway 🦄
🌈 16 years ago I could have let fear keep me from quitting my "safe and secure" job at General Motors and going back to school for esthetics (while dog grooming for income - and puppies 😍)
🌈 10 years ago it could have kept me from becoming a Beachbody Coach
🌈 7 years ago it could have kept me from getting divorced
🌈 5 years ago it could have kept me from moving out of Buffalo, NY
🌈 1 year ago it could have kept me from going on a Tinder date in Costa Rica
🌈 Last week it could have kept me from going to a conference where I didn't know anyone

☁️ COMFORT ZONES ☁️
We’ve got them, and we love them, but they can give us a false sense of security. They may feel “safe”, but they also don’t allow for growth. So while they’re keeping you from having to do the scary things in life, they also keep you from experiencing so much of what life has to offer.
What’s keeping you from the magic that’s waiting on the other side of your comfort zone?
Tis the season for seasonal depression, even here in sunny Florida! Between it getting darker earlier, falling temps, work stress, pandemic stress, and making it through the holidays and January, it’s no wonder you might be in a funk this time of year.
Here are some things you can do to take care of yourself and make it though these final few weeks of winter!
When you're in your late 30's, single w/no kids and your friends are all married w/toddlers
Lately I've found myself learning to navigate a new phase in my life.... being 38, single and w/no kids.... when all your friends are married w/toddlers.
I've been divorced for about 2 years now. When I first got divorced, I knew everything was going to be new and weird and awkward for me until I learned what my new normal was. I didn't start dating right away, and I really focused on myself and filling my time with things I loved and that made me happy. I focused on my fitness, I hosted "Wine Wednesdays" at my house for my girlfriends, and planned as many sushi dates with them I could to fill my time. I also really learned to enjoy my quiet nights at home on the couch.
Happy first day of summer! And it's also a full moon! I love full moons, way back when I was a bartender and a dog groomer I could ALWAYS tell when full moons were coming. They make everything so crazy! If you know anything about me, you know I LIVE for the summer. I love the sun, the heat, the water, beaches, being outside, everything!
So here's my list of 35 things every babe NEEDS to do this summer!
Julie's favorite beauty products
Makeup! I love everything makeup. I love how creative you can be, I love how it makes me feel, Everything! Before I was a health & business coach, I was a licensed esthetician (think anything skin care) and a nail tech and got to play with beauty products for a living. I get asked a lot what kind of skin care and makeup I use, so I decided to get it all in one place! Be sure to read all the way to the bottom because I also asked a few of my babes what their favorites are, too!
New relationships are great... you can't wait to see the person, you love the time you spend together, you haven't figured out what makes them flawed yet... they can also be a total learning experience. You're learning all about a new person... what they need, how they communicate (or don't), what their insecurities are... you learn about yourself.... what you need, how you communicate (or don't), your own insecurities and triggers, things you're willing to put up with and things you're not.... your ex may be a pain, they may have their own ex that you now have to deal with. Lots of fun factors get thrown in there. So to say I had a shit day yesterday is an understatement, but I'm using my shit day as an opportunity to reflect, brainstorm, and hopefully help anyone who needs to read this right now.
People who write down their goals earn 9x as much over their lifetimes as the people who don’t, and yet 80% of Americans say they don’t have goals. 16% have goals but don’t write them down. Less than 4% write them down. Less than 1% review their goals. Guess which 1%?
And it's not just about income... I've been writing down 10 big, scary yearly goals for the past 3 years and it's crazy what I've accomplished!
