Before you considered microdosing a GLP-1, focus on this first:
💪🏼 Getting enough protein This is my #1 priority and the difference it’s made in my energy, cravings, and strength? Huge. I drink a plant-based shake with 20g protein every morning and add collagen for an extra 10g because hi, I’m 46 and want my joints (and skin) to keep showing up for me!

GLP-1 Q&A: Why I Started + What You Should Know
(aka answers to all the questions y’all have been sliding into my DMs with 👀) 💬 “I honestly have no idea what GLP-1s are—can you explain it like I’m five?” GLP-1s are hormones your body already makes to regulate hunger, insulin, blood sugar, and inflammation. Taking a GLP-1 med gives your body more of that hormone, which can help rebalance systems that are out of whack. Think of it as a nudge, not a replacement. Let’s talk full transparency for a second. 👇🏼
About a year ago, I ended a three-year relationship where I had gained 30 pounds. Ten of those pounds came off quickly afterward, but then I hit a wall. And I mean a stubborn wall. I was lifting heavy, eating protein, walking daily, taking my high-quality supplements, and doing all the “right” things. But I still felt off. ➡️ Brain fog ➡️ Inflammation ➡️ Constant ADHD overwhelm ➡️ Mindless scrolling ➡️ No progress on the scale Everything just felt… stuck. I’m so excited to share something new with you! As you may know, Beachbody recently closed their coaching program, and I’ve made the switch to Shaklee - and I couldn’t be happier! After 2 months of using these products, I’ve found amazing replacements for my old favorites like Shakeology, Energize, and collagen. Here’s why you might want to make the switch too:
✨ Life Shake (Protein Shakes):
Yesterday was my last official day as a Beachbody/BODi Coach. It's been a pretty amazing 12 1/2 years, and despite not having control over how and when this chapter came to an end, I'm not sad, but weirdly excited about it. (Maybe it will hit me when I least expect it? 🤷🏼♀️)
So in honor of 12 1/2 years of transformations, today I want to share a different kind of transformation post. I had such an amazing time on the Margaritaville cruise this weekend… sun, fun, friends, and maybe a *few* too many drinks. But it reminded me how easy it can be to eat, drink, and overindulge your way through the holidays like you’re on vacation for the entire month.
That’s why I’m so excited to be hosting a FREE Holiday Survival Guide in my facebook community… and it starts tomorrow! This group will be packed with everything you need to enjoy the holidays without sacrificing your health and wellness goals. Here’s a little sneak peek of what you can expect! Wooooo!!! What. A. Month. It’s been.
One month ago I found out that the company I’ve partnered with for over 12 years was dissolving all their contracts, and giving us about 4 weeks notice. Talk about a punch in the gut. And as hard as that news hit me, I wasn’t completely shocked. I took a couple days to process, a couple days to figure out my next game plan, and then a couple days evacuated because of a hurricane. 🙃 Here’s what I now know one month later… I started researching new companies long before Beachbody made the news to dissolve their business model two weeks ago. For anyone on the inside who was actually paying attention, the writing was on the wall and it was only a matter of time. (There are also a lot of people who “bled Beachbody blue” who were blindsided because they trusted people they shouldn’t have, and I feel horrible for them.)
So after the initial shock, sadness, and anger wore off, the excitement kicked in!! So why did I choose the company I did to partner with next? Back in 2012, Beachbody entered my life in just the right season. I’m an old school P90X girl, and although I joined because of the workouts, it was the community and the business that also ended up changing my life for the better.
But just as people grow and evolve, so has this journey… After over 12 years, my career as a Beachbody Coach is coming to an end. After 12+ years, a huge part of my life is coming to an end. And while I may not have my Beachbody business anymore, I have so much more that can’t be taken away.
I’ve met the most incredible, amazing, supportive, and driven women you could ever imagine that I now call lifelong friends. Working on myself, both physically and mentally, not only became daily habits, but they became so ingrained in my life that most days I don’t have to talk myself into doing them. I was given the financial and time freedom to quite literally travel the world and call anywhere I liked home. |
