I had put on a lot of weight over the past year, and despite doing everything “right”, I was frustrated and stuck at a plateau. And Mike and I both needed a serious kick in the ass after 2 weeks of all you can eat and drink in Puna Cana with friends and then Vegas, so when this new gut health program came out we weren’t going to wait around for the “perfect” time to start. We jumped right in!

- 2 weeks in Tampa
- A death in the family
- A full travel day
- 2 weeks in Costa Rica
- Lots of planning and meal prep (and lots of making things up on the fly)
- Skipping our usual drinks on the beach
- A few dinners out and lunches with friends
- Only a small hot pot and skillet and no stove for the last 2 weeks (you know all that fancy kitchen equipment you keep buying? 😉)
Which helped us
- Cut our sugar and alcohol intake
- Remove dairy (big one for me!)
- Reduce our bloating
- Drop 26.8 lbs total (7.6 lbs for me, and Mike lost 19.2 lbs!!)
My congestion cleared up. I used to wake up with swollen joints in my hands and that’s completely gone. My sleep has been AH MAZING. I’m feeling stronger in my workouts, my skin is so much brighter, and I lost 3” in my waist alone!
Mike lowered his blood pressure more than he’s been able to with meds in the past and his daily headaches are almost non existent now. 🙌🏼 (Can we also talk about how Mike lost almost 20 lbs and only did the nutrition portion of this and no workouts!?)
