5 Tips to Beat the Bloat While Traveling

I love to travel! Especially living in Buffalo, NY.... I'll find any chance I can get to escape in the winters to somewhere warmer (this year alone I've already been to Barbados, Cancun, a Caribbean cruise and Miami!) The one thing I don't love about travel though (besides packing and unpacking lol) is getting the travel bloat. Usually this happens the first day or two after flying, but I also get it on road trips from sitting in a car, not eating the best foods and not moving my body like I usually do. Doesn't exactly make you feel comfortable in your bikini!

So here are 5 things that I do to help beat the travel bloat....

  1. Drink tons of water Especially if I'm flying, I'll buy the biggest bottle of water I can find at the airport and drink the entire thing on the plane, even if it's a short flight.
  2. Get moving Take a walk, hit up your hotel's gym, go for a run, explore a new city, go for a hike, check out a new yoga class, swim in the ocean, use your BOD to stream workouts in your hotel room, whatever you choose to do, get moving!
  3. Take probiotics Probiotics are amazing at keeping your gut health in check. I use Garden of Life Raw Women's probiotics.
  4. Keep your nutrition in check Especially when traveling, I make sure to start each day with Shakeology. That way I know that no matter what the rest of my day looks like, I'm at least getting in the nutrients that I need. From there I try to add in as many leafy greens during the day as possible.
  5. Add in a digestive boost If I'm still not feeling like myself, I add a digestive boost to my shakes to keep myself regular and feeling like myself.

My next adventure is taking me to Nashville in 3 weeks. I love that city and can't wait to see all my friends there!

Where are your next adventures taking you? I'd love to hear about it!
