7 Things Every Woman Needs in her Carryon Bag

Living in Buffalo, NY, I try to get out of the snow and cold and head somewhere warm as much as I can. Thankfully I have a career that sends me to some pretty amazing places (San Diego, Las Vegas, Nashville, Caribbean cruises, Cancun...) and it's also flexible enough that I can add in my own trips as well. Because of all this travel, I'd like to think I've become pretty good at packing. (Please don't ever ask me for unpacking tips. lol) So here's a list of everything I can't live without in my carryon! ​

1. Bottle of water This is my secret to keeping from getting bloated from flying. I find the biggest bottle of water I can at the airport and drink the entire thing on the flight, no matter how short the flight it. 
2. Flip flops I'm usually traveling from Buffalo, NY to somewhere warm, so I always bring a pair of flip flops so I don't have to get off the plane and into warm weather wearing boots. 
3. Bikini You never know where your luggage is going to end up. At least this way you'll be able to head straight to the beach once you land. 
4. Sunglasses
5. Food I like Lara bars, Clif bars and Shakeology packets. 
6. Personal development I'm always learning and reading something new. Sometimes I bring a paperback, but most of the time I download books to iBooks on my phone or use Audible for the audio version. 
7. iPod I went through a phase where I was a very nervous flyer, especially during takeoffs and landings (still kind of am, but I'm getting better). One of the things I found that helped me (besides wine) is cranking my music and zoning out. (It's hard to be nervous when you're listening to The Weeknd and all you can think about is sex. lol)
