When you're in your late 30's, single w/no kids and your friends are all married w/toddlers5/30/2017
Lately I've found myself learning to navigate a new phase in my life.... being 38, single and w/no kids.... when all your friends are married w/toddlers.
I've been divorced for about 2 years now. When I first got divorced, I knew everything was going to be new and weird and awkward for me until I learned what my new normal was. I didn't start dating right away, and I really focused on myself and filling my time with things I loved and that made me happy. I focused on my fitness, I hosted "Wine Wednesdays" at my house for my girlfriends, and planned as many sushi dates with them I could to fill my time. I also really learned to enjoy my quiet nights at home on the couch.

I know I mentioned this in yesterday's post, but I am LOVING this book Mastering Your Mean Girl, the no-BS guide to becoming wildly wealthy wealthy, fabulously healthy & bursting with love, by Melissa Ambrosini! I'm only 5 chapters in and there's so much great info already.
In her book, Melissa talks about finding out which areas of your life you're living out of fear and which areas you're living out of love so you can make the necessary adjustments. Below is her quiz, but I'm warning you, it can be very eye opening! 129.... I don't know where that # came from, but it's a # I chased for the majority of my 20's and even a little bit into my 30's. At 5'6", that was my goal weight. I'm not sure where I got the # or why I put so much value on it. It was a # that no one but myself would ever see. A # that was supposed to make me happy and change everything once I reached it.
Here's what that # didn't tell me about myself... |
