Hey babes! As most of you know, I LOVE my PD! It literally has changed my life. So I wanted to compile this list of my favorite PD (or personal development) for you! I try to do at least 15 minutes of PD a day, usually more. Instead of reading, a lot of times I’ll get a book on audilbe and listen while I drive, do laundry or do my hair and makeup. "Change is inevitable. Growth is optional."

What a weird couple months. It's rare that I start a book and don't finish it, and in the past 2 months I did that with THREE books.... but it's not what you might think, I actually LIKED all 3 of them and stopped reading each for a different reason. So... here's what I read (and listened to) and why I quit most of them! lol
So... I'm just going to call August my summer break. lol But for real, where did that month go?
I'm a little embarrassed by this.... I only read ONE book, and it wasn't even a long one, but it ended up being a great one! Part of the reason is it was a gorgeous month and I had the top and doors off my Jeep a lot. I do almost all of my "reading" in the car listening to audible, so not being able to hear the radio because of the wind when the top is off doesn't help with that. I know, no excuse, but it was fun!
Omg where the hell did August just go!?! For real, I'm so sorry I'm so late posting this!! I feel like I blinked and BAM! It's the 18th of the month already. I barely even remember what I read last month! So finally.... here is my July book review! (And guess which book I STILL haven't read! lol)
Personal development (or PD) is so huge for me! I started reading PD books and attending seminars a few years ago and so much has changed for me since then. And if you're a coach on my team or in my #BabeSquad community then you also know that I constantly stress the importance of it. Because of this, each month I'm going to be sharing what I've read to help give you ideas! So here are my June reads...
When I used to work for General Motors in my 20's, I had a close friend there who always used to say "Mind right, body tight". We used to run 2 miles together on our lunch break and keep each other accountable with our nutrition, but it was the "Mind right" part that I loved the most. I used to get so hung up on how I looked physically, that I'd neglect how I was feeling mentally.
Now, personal development (PD) or personal growth is totally my jam! I'm obsessed with audio books, podcasts, videos, anything I can get my hands on to make me grow and learn as a person. So each month I'm going to be sharing what I've read and listened to the month before to help give you ideas! |
