What's in your bread?

I know nutrition can be super confusing. What plan do I follow? What's the latest trend? Should I go gluten free? Vegan? Aren't carbs supposed to be bad?

Here's a great example...

The word "vegan" is often confused with the word "healthy". YES, eating vegan CAN be super healthy, but it doesn't mean that EVERYTHING that's vegan is healthy.

(In case you're not sure, vegan just means no animal products are used, so no meat, dairy, eggs, or fish.)

​Here's a great example.... Oreos are vegan, and so is milk chocolate frosting that comes out of that glorious little blue tub ;)

And here's another example in this picture.... Yes, this bread is vegan, but it also has white flour, high fructose corn syrup, and a few other things that I can't pronounce that make it kind of look like a science experiment.

So... when in doubt, skip the marketing buzz words (trust me, companies spend a lot of money to know what words are trending and what sells) and go straight to the ingredients!
