30 reasons not to cheat on your workout program (and yourself!!)

I think we've all been there. We see that one friend's fitness post that hits us at just the right time. We're feeling like shit, we're not exactly sure what happened or how we seemingly ended up gaining that 10 lbs back *overnight*, and we're determined to make this "THE. LAST. TIME".

We reach out to our friend, order our new package that going to give us alllll the fitness and nutrition tools we need and is going to make everythingggg better, and then by week 2, or 3, or sometimes not even until month 2 or 3, we hit a wall. We don't feel like doing it anymore. We're not in the mood. And we can think of a laundry list of excuses why we can skip our workout, not have our shake that day, and eat and drink everything in sight.

​I want to tell you.... THIS IS NORMAL and it's something we all go through at one point in time or another. The difference between the people who stick with their program and get the results they want and the ones that don't... is mindset.

Whenever you feel like throwing in the towel, pull out this list of reasons NOT to to help you stay on track!

  1. You invested money into it
  2. You'll only be cheating yourself
  3. That cookie will be there when you're done and it won't even be that good
  4. You'll prove to yourself you're capable and can say that you didn't give up! 
  5. You told someone you were doing this. You don't want to be a liar.
  6. You are inspiring people even if you don't realize it
  7. You did not buy all of that healthy food just to let it go to waste
  8. You are going to have glowing skin
  9. Your blood sugar and cholesterol will thank you
  10. You want a full and healthy life
  11. You've already made it this far
  12. That new outfit is going to look amazing on you!
  13. It's not that long of a commitment
  14. Cheating now just makes you more likely to do it again
  15. You worked way too hard too eat that junk!
  16. No you may not skip a meal, you need that food to build muscle
  17. Someone is watching and being inspired by you
  18. It will feel great to button those jeans!
  19. Do it for the "WOW, you look awesome"
  20. Pictures!
  21. It will feel AWESOME to know what you accomplished
  22. You want to be healthy for your kids and family
  23. You've already turned down a temptation
  24. You'll feel better. Really, you will
  25. The couch isn't really that comfy
  26. 30 minutes is 2% of your day... 2%
  27. You're creating habits. Soon you won't even think twice
  28. You don't want to let yourself down again
  29. Getting started is the hardest part... keep going!
  30. To prove to yourself just what you're capable of
