My final Country Heat Test Group Results!

30 Days. 

That's all it took to lose THREE POINT FREAKING FIVE INCHES off my waist! 

30 days ago I was chosen by Beachbody to participate in a test group for a new workout program they'll be releasing later this summer.... country dance inspired... and while I was thrilled to be chosen, I was also a skeptic.

Turns out I was soooo wrong about this program... 
And it came at the PERFECT time for me. Literally, Day 1 was the day I got ok'd to workout again after my hysterectomy, and I had gained a lot of weight after surgery not being able to workout for so long. Knowing me, I would have gone all out and totally overdone it. This forced me to take it easy and ease back into it, but still get a great workout. 

I'll be honest, when I found out I was chosen, one of the thoughts going through my mind was "Summer is so short in Buffalo and now I'm going to be spending half of it measuring food and working out all day."

I was SO wrong.

For 30 days.... 

  • I didn't lift a weight
  • I ate great food (including chocolate and wine!)
  • I traveled with my boyfriend
  • I went out with friends
  • I went to restaurants
  • I enjoyed beach and pool days
  • I went to a Public Enemy concert (and wore a midriff shirt there!) 
  • I went to art festivals
  • I enjoyed the 1st month of my summer
  • I had a mini dance party in my living room every day for 25-30 min
  • I lost 3.5" off my waist (6.5" total)
  • I lost 8.3 lbs 

I definitely didn't waste my summer at all. And now I'm going into the second half of the summer with more confidence and energy than I had before!! I was also way more productive and had amazing sleep these 30 days. ​

And PS.... YES!!! Where my finger and thumb is on that tape measure is legit where my stomach measured just 30 days ago!!
 
Here are some things I learned over these past 30 days...
  • Follow your meal plan, it works! 
  • Follow the workout schedule, no making up schedules!
  • Take progress pics weekly (omg do these ever help you stay accountable)
  • Keep going and trust the program, even when you feel like it's not working (I was up 2 lbs in week 2 and yesterday I felt like I had gained everything back because I was so hot and puffy feeling because of the weather in Buffalo lately) 
  • Be ok with not being perfect.... aim to follow your meal plan perfect, but don't beat yourself up if you slip up, the entire day is not shot just because you had one oops 
  • Don't you dare give up!!

I'm also still looking for people to test out a new accountability system I've been working on!
 
I'm testing out a new email system to help you stay as accountable to your health and fitness as possible and I'm looking for some test group participants!!
Here are the requirements...
  • I need to be your free Beachbody coach
  • You need to be doing the 21-Day Fix (or another program that uses the Fix meal containers... like Insanity Max:30 or Hammer & Chisel) PS The 21-Day Fix is ON SALE through July!
  • You need to be drinking Shakeology every day
  • You'll get a series of emails every couple days (not every day) for 4 weeks filled with helpful tips, recipes, motivation and everything else you need to help you stay on track
 
At the end, I would love for your honest feedback on content and timing of material and any critique, and I promise I'll throw in some goodies for helping me out!
